Digital Content and Communications Manager

 

This is an amazing opportunity for an individual contributor with exceptional content and communication skills to be creative in multiple mediums every single day! You will partner effectively with multiple areas of the business to define, develop and execute a communications plan in the form of clear and persuasive written and visual content.

Required Skills & Education:

  • Four Year Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or Advertising.
  • A love – and powerful command – of the English language.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Technically savvy – proficiency in Adobe Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, Captivate), familiarity with WordPress, MailChimp, Social Media (primarily customer-facing review sites, such as Yelp, Google Reviews, Houzz, Better Business Bureau).
  • Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to art, design, graphics, and typography in 2-D, 3-D, and electronic mediums.
  • Practices active listening and is able to accurately digest and execute on direction, yet still demonstrates independent initiative.
  • Quick learner.
  • Ability to multi-task and adaptability to meet changing deadlines
  • Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
  • Ability to maintain staff and corporate confidentiality.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Create blog content for customers on the company website and customer portal;
  • Develop leadership content for subcontractors;
  • Provide monthly to bi-monthly updates for employees;
  • Make periodic updates to website content;
  • Proofread corporate materials, contracts and agreements;
  • Update content and graphics in sales collateral and marketing materials; 
  • Create CRM scripts and engaging customer-facing content.
  • Write copy for web-based media, brochures, video and other forms of advertising.
  • Conceive, develop and produce articles for publication in trade journals relevant to the company (particularly ghost written or coauthored articles).
  • Work with third party art director(s) to create ideas where Company requires graphical representations of data, concepts, messages, campaigns, etc.
  • Check copy for spelling and grammar errors.
  • Research competitors and keep abreast of market and industry trends.
  • Some limited travel – domestic and international - may be necessary.
